Blogs > Within and Inside

This blog is one about symbiosis. Its purpose is to help those out there going through hard times to find solace within. Through the act of questioning our society’s issues and dilemmas, as well as comparing large scale problems to personal ones, we can find a better understanding as who we truly are and how we truly operate. Once we have a firm understanding to this inner dimension our problems will seem less problematic.   This is, perhaps, the grandest of all goals.

Where Your Morals Lie

Though it is a delicate and often touchy subject, there has always been a question in my mind that never seems to shake off. Do people really need a book to tell them what their morals are? Are we that savage a race? As wild and crazy as people like to think other animals are, not even wolves are that vicious. Even they hold together a sense of morality, within their packs and without. They same goes for most if not all other creatures on the planet. So, why do people feel that it is only within their holy book, or even in religion in general, that salvation truly lies? Is that not a low bar to set for the human being? Sure there is much violence amidst plenty of chaos in the world. But is that due to a lack of scripture following? It seems mankind is afraid of something. It seems there is a fear to let go and take a step into a new age where people are not governed by threats, punishment and fear. We, like all other species, inherently crave balance in our lives. It is the motivating factor for all actions. We are organism that do not "inhabit" a planet but are of the planet; like the cells and molecules that create what we call our bodies. We have a higher calling than what we have previously set out to do.

Tell me, is there something wrong with acknowledging your connection to the planet?

I agree. The way everyone thinks should go like this: if you hurt someone, you run the risk of alienating yourself from them. If you engage in destructive behavior, then you can lose yourself to that habit. Action, consequence. Simple.
