The shooting of Gabrielle Giffords and several others was awful, as are most shootings. It was senseless, to say the least. Upon hearing of the incident I decided to investigate and see more of what happened. Normally I steer clear of commentary posted on sites like youtube, but this time I wanted to read more. After seeing comments like "I bet you democrats wish there were some gun totin Tea Partiers around" reminded me of exactly why I don't read them. Keeping in that the people writing these comments could range from nine year olds to lunatics released from the penitentiary eases some of the frustration. But there were plenty of comments of this nature, and not just on youtube. Perhaps the question "What is wrong with some people" is useless… but wow. To wage in political propaganda in an incident like this is not only childish but inhumane. And it isn't just happening on Youtube. It's everywhere. The woman was shot. Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Space Martian Supporter, her blood was red. She was just as human as any other.

Is this truly best that people have to offer? "If she's not on my side she deserved what she got?" What about the other's that were wounded and killed? Just now with the typing of her name resulted in the voting poll of: "Did she deserve it?" I know people "really" are that stupid, but I cannot help think that this sort of mentality is most certainly the demise of our species.
